Social Distancing Snacks

Social Distancing Snacks

Being home for a month now has definitely had me open to trying new things. Of these, I have decided to take it upon myself to take my self-care a little but further. I started creating healthier snacks and meals! Here are some of the snacks I have been enjoying endlessly and do not require much preparation!

  1. Açaí Bowls

These are an all-time favorite for me. I picked up some frozen açaí fruit from Costco and favorite berries (blueberries, strawberries) and some bananas. Aside from fruit in my bowl, I like to add some granola and dark chocolate chips for the extra sweet. After I put my fruit on-top my açaí bowl I finish it off with a drizzle of honey. It is by far the best and leaves me feeling satisfied and healthy. What I especially love about it is the variety of toppings you can put on it. Get creative! I am sure there are things in your pantry to customize your açaí bowls for your liking!

  1. The second thing I tried, made, and loved were some oatmeal bites! These were super simple and I actually got the recipe from a Tik Tok video. I am sure there are similar recipes especially ones with the measurements, but the only ingredients were oatmeal, ground flax seed (not necessary), peanut butter, chocolate chips, and honey. Mix them all together in a bowl, ball them up, and put them in a fridge for about 20 minutes. Then, they are ready to enjoy!! These are also super customizable to things you already have in your kitchen and with things you know you will enjoy eating. They were a great sweet and healthy alternative and made me full! Definitely something I can enjoy everyday and not feel guilty about!

Let us know if you tried any of these or if you have any ideas of your own!! Cheers!
