Ten Holiday Fun Ideas for Tweens and Your Family

Bake and decorate cookies!

To amp it up, make it a cookie decorating contest within the people in your family!

Watch your favorite holiday movies!

Some of my favorites are the Polar Express, Elf, The Grinch and Home Alone. Bundle up with some blankets and your family and enjoy each others company.

Random acts of kindness in the neighborhood!

Make a gift basket, or drop off candy canes in your neighbors mailboxes. Doing this will spread holiday cheer throughout your neighborhood.

Create a vision board for the new year!

Setting goals can change everything! With your family, cut out pictures of what you would like to see yourself doing next year to better yourself. This is a great way to bond with family and set realistic goals.

Drive through a light display!

An easy way to enjoy Christmas and get in the holiday spirit while social distancing is driving through a local light display. The flashing lights and sometimes even music will be sure to put you and your family in the Holiday spirit.

Set up a hot chocolate bar!

Make a hot cocoa bar with your family and refill and decorate your hot chocolate as you would like. My favorite toppings are whipped cream, peppermint shavings and marshmallows! Sit by the fire and enjoy quality family time.

Secret Santa!

You and your family would love this idea. Everybody chooses a random family member and surprises them with a gift. This is an extra touch of fun to get excited for the season of gift giving!

Play in the snow!
Build a snowman, make snow angels, have a snowball fight! Bundle up and sleigh all day!

Make cinnamon rolls with the family!

Making cinnamon rolls with my family is one of my personal favorite Christmas tradition. The smell of them cooking and the laughter of family time creates the best combo.

Decorate the Christmas tree!

If you celebrate Christmas, decorating the tree as a family is an awesome bonding experience and will be sure to create memories for a lifetime. Play some holiday music, and get to decorating!
